driver side rear door won't close

driver side rear door won't close
I opened my rear door to grab something out of the back seat, then when I went to close the door, it wouldn't latch. I had to drive my car home with the driver side rear door open. There isn't anything in the way of the door, such as a seatbelt. Has anyone ever had the same problem? If so, what is the solution? I'm guessing I need a new door latch or something along those lines. I have never had a problem with that door before. Can somebody please help? thanks

check the place in the door where the latch moves, it may fell down while you were grabing the holder.
i don't know if u got what i mean, but this is a common for any car.
just hold the knob ( handle of the door ) and pull like u want to open the door and then put your finger in that place ( where the door get grabed to the metal lock in the body and push it up.
