Good price for E63 in todays buyer's market
I'm planning to take a look at these below this weekend. What is a good price to start negotiating? Esp reading other posts about dealers knocking off $20k to $9k for new 2009/2010 E63, CLSs, etc.

My data is stale at this point, but as of April 28, the last three '07 E63s with < 20k miles sold for $52k on average at auction and the 11 E63s that sold that month fetched about $49.2k average / $49.8k median, with median mileage of 25k miles.
My guess is prices are not higher because of the new model looming, even though the Manheim used car index was up 3-4% in May vs. April (!)
BTW I put in an offer on a silver 07 E63 from the same dealer when I was shopping and they did come down off their ask.
Also, I had been shopping for a 63 for a while, and found that good cars tend to move, both at the auctions and retail, even in this economy. If you find a nice one, you will probably need to pay up a little to get it.
Good luck with the hunt.

-I think the range for clean, '07 <20k mi. cars is probably $47-55k.
-Similar '08's w/ <15k mi. probably $53-63k
-I think that you can make a case for '09's being worth disproportionately more due to several factors, not the least of which is the new COMAND. Say $65-75k???
I bet you can make a deal on a new one (P2)for around $78k all day long, mid $70k's (P1+)at some lots. They will get softer as the summer progresses too. I stole mine and it's pretty built.

(BTW, I don't consider an E55 for $50k a good deal at all).

I'm looking to not spend more than $47k for an 07 less than 25Kmiles on it. Its not a must to get one, since i recently got the E500, but if its a steal, i'll bite on getting an e63. Wife can have the E500:-)

Mercedes Benz has factory Money in the car of a total of 19k. On top of that their is Invoice margin on the car of 4-5k.
Mercedes is doing a pull forward program if your lease is matured and they will eat up to 3 lease payments if you are with MB financial.
I had 9 lease payments left they ate 3, I rolled in the rest, on top of that I turned in a G500 an 02 got 26k and owed 33 and rolled that in.
Leased the car
Paid 76k after all the negatives..
Put 2500 down
Payment is 1749 with ca tax.
48 months 15k a year.
Had I not rolled in the g it would of been a 1580 payment.
They are negociating on these cars. I don't care for the new e class. It looks cheap on the inside with the rubber dash like the c class. Personally I think this is a better made car. The new command system is awesome, it has updated traffic, bluetooth, sat radio, hd radio, 40 gig hard drive and 6 disc cd player. The nav system this go around makes you feel like you didn't get cheated if you like idrive.
Hope this helps as to what is available on these cars.
Happy dealer hunting.

If you need a car now, I would go for a 2007 since they already took most of the depreciation hit. Once the W212 E63 is released, expect the 2008 and 2009 models to drop at least $30k and maybe another $5k for 2007 models.
