Detail pics of SL65...
The link is on my SL65 detail, but the E55 had the same full detail. The detail guy (Billy @ Presidential Detail) is still uploading pics of the E55 work. These are just teaser pics of what to expect on the E55.

Good find Jon, so hard to find a person that has talent with a buffer.
All I can say is you now have a mirror finish. It's like glass, it gets no better.

Your SL looks great. Black is so beautiful when it's clean.
Having just purchased my first black vehicle, I know I'll need to find someone like this in my area.

In the four + years I've been driving my car, the headlights have developed somewhat of a film or opaque sheen over them. They look like they've been rubbed to hell with sandpaper and now they are just dull...
Do you think a detail like this (or any similar method) could restore the lenses to a perfectly clear finish?
Does anyone know if perhaps sanding them with a very fine sandpaper and then buffing them might work?

I heard it helps by using occasional Plastic Polish when it is new. But once it turns completely dull, there's not much you can do.

Fine scratches and oxidation can be polished out of headilghts, much like paint - a good detailer could very likely restore them to a "like-new" look and finish. One caveat, it would then be wise to keep a sealant on the lenses for future protection (something like CG JS109 or Menz FMJ).
