Good luck with your search. I also did some searching for E55 and S4 wagons before settling on a really good deal on a Magnum SRT-8. I think you'll find there's a premium for the wagons (maybe $4k-$8k) due to scarcity.
I did see a silver E320 wagon, dropped, with 19" AMG wheels, on eBay a couple of weeks ago. Not an AMG, but it looked very hot.

I think I know which E320 you're referring too.
Based on my visits to dealers, all E wagons are more expensive than sedans. One dealer is asking $44K for a '06 E500 wagon with 25K miles.
We've been looking on the 'bay and autotrader but not for long. Last lower miles E55 wagon on ebay did not sell as it was bid to $31-$32K with bin of $41.5K. As it was located in CA, I had no chance to look at it.
I'm trying an enthusiasts forum to see if there are any sellers who listed an e55 wagon earlier this year that did not sell.
