AMG rear end, exhaust...thought, wow, nice car. Pulled up along side. Cheezy rep wheels, and stock calipers with white AMG stickers on them ...AND...6.3 AMG badge on the fender and V8 Bi Turbo badges ON THE DOOR!...needless to say, I feel bad for the guy. He probably thinks everyone thinks his car is awesome.

Damn, I should've grabbed a picture. There is a black S550 with quad exhaust and an AMG badge on the rear right side, but left the S550 still on.

I was fooled at first, as I was in my STi, and it was dark as I passed him up. Then he floors it to catch up to me and we meet at a light. I roll my window down and stumped how there is no fender badge as I don't really look at S63's and S65's all day but I knew there is suppose to be a fender badge, but there wasn't.

I tell him I have an E63 AMG but i'm sure he didn't believe me, lol. I was in my STi so he started getting mad after I told him he was a poser. He said something along the lines of:

"This thing will stomp that!" pointing at my Stock engine STi (Coilovers and a lot of suspension mods/xbrace/endlinks, etc.)

Well luckily we were in Mexico, and the light turned green, and he got the jump just because it took a second to get the RPM up to do the launch, but immediately I start passing him really badly before I get out of 1st. 2nd gear the same.

"Bad reaction time!" he yells out at the next light. "O yeah buddy I'm gonna give it to your poser *** real hard in a bone stock STi", was going through my head, and also, "this is for the guys in the "official poser sighting thread"

Second run I get a nasty fat launch and lurch ahead really badly while I hear him spinning his heavy "dubs." I get away pretty far and I end up in a turning lane to get onto a freeway onramp.

He brakes really hard ends up passing the line, we wait for the light. Then it turns green and hear the most painful wheel hop from the poser's S550, So I gun it through the turn, shift into second before coming out, and I'm already ahead even though I was in the outer lane. I get into third, and expect his 5.5 L v8 to take over and start catching up, but it doesn't happen. I start clapping for him for being such a poser as he does his ricer fly by on the freeway running into traffic.

Now, if I wasn't an AMG owner myself, I would've never known, and told all my STi buddies that I sexually assaulted an S AMG in a drag race.

*Edit: The S550 did sound good with the exhaust, but not like an AMG. I just wish he could take that badge off and be happy he has a nice sounding s550, not pose as an AMG.

Yes limited! Love the sleeper look without the big wing. I just bought it a few months ago. I don't think I could let it go anytime soon. I'm going to buy a new shortblock and rip the pistons and connecting rods out sell those. Get the stock STi crank balanced to 1/10th of a gram and get some forged pistons and connecting rods machined in there. Then get a set of heads or just do the work on my stock heads like revalve/bigger valves, cams. then last but not least will be a HTA FP red turbo 52lbs/min wheel.

 

if i have a clk500 with amg kit rims calipers y can't i have a amg badge... i wouldn't have the compressor badge cause i don't have the engine but my car is covered in amg parts...is this considered posing. if so thats really dumb and i don't care!

YoU fail to see the point of a AMG, you do not drive a AMG, so you must be cited for a poser violation. Because you think it's really just a badge.......

I know, and i never said i was going to pose. I love my car without the badge i simply asked a question. Im not putting a badge on my car im kepping it clean, tinting the crap outa it, and riding aroud in ultimate luxary.
