I pod amplifier Install

So I'm not sure if amy one care about this or not but I bought the MB Ipod amp kit that corrects the low volume from the intergrated Ipod mb kit. It was .33 cents and the dealer just gave it to me!

So install was simple
Here is the part

So I found the control part for the kit undr the glove box (above the pass. feet area) looking up from the floor you can see 2 torx head screws, take those out and wiggle the pannel down.

Now unplug the cable and plug in the amp and postionit so you can replace the panel

Replace the panel into its spot tighten the screws and your done. should take less than 20 min start to finnish.

Not sure what the Ipod Integration kit is but will this amplify the signal coming from the Aux input as well?

This for the Mercedes Ipod kit, It plugs into the Ipod controler so I would figure it would not effect the aux only. Do you have a low volume with your aux?

What is the name / part number for that? I can't imagine ANYTHING from MB only being .33!! I will hit up my dealer for it - but I bet I will be get charged, but will happily pay if it fixes it - how does it work?

Here is more information on how to adjust the volume first, before you put the amp in. Only the first generation required the amp but it can be used on the newer kits, you will need to adjust it.

Part number is A 204 870 39 94
If they question the price tell them its a part to fix a mistake mercedes made. That seemed to end the question about why its so cheep.

I tried this over the weekend, and when I took that panel down - there was no controller! I use my ipod by plugging it into the glove box connection, but where do I plug that amplifier in at? My stealer also charged my $67 bucks for the part, but I took it back this morning and will have them install it at my next service.

Strange thing, I asked them how much to install it and they said $67? Maybe the part is free, but they charge that for the labor, whether they install it or not? Does this thing really make a difference?

I'm sure its diffrent on a 63,and yes a huge diffrence in my car. Before installed you could play most songs at 100% and it seemed like 50%.

Did you check for the hidden menu first? Newer models do not require the additional amp. Did you read Yachtmaster's post above about the hidden setting for this? Two possible reasons it may not fit:

1. You have incorrect part
2. MB may have changed design so you don't plug in newer model into the AMP which is not needed (speculating here).
