Did you guys bother to read the thread?? I will be at the total wines as long as my new tires come in by then. Anyone have recommendations as to where I can get the 275/35/18's installed? Nobody wants to do it.

Thanks. I bought'em off Ebay. Excellent quality. I like this one since it wraps around the entire tips and fewer and subtle fins. Here's close-up so you can see.

Hey,
I just ordered the lowering links from adjustableairride.com
Im hoping they are as easy to install as you said it was. Im bringing it to a local independent shop for install. Im just wondering how they go about adjusting the new hieght though. Can I adjust it to any hieght I like or is it just one setting. How do these actually work.
Also Im assuming it will need a full alignment after its lowered. I assume the MB dealer should be able to do it easiliy.
Thanks
P.S. I cant wait to post picks when its done

Cool! Cool! It was super easy install. I was hoping that you would do the install so that you can adjust the height yourself. You may have to take it back to the shop few times to get it exactly how you want it since you have to shorten and lengthen the actual links themselves to lower or raise.
Links out of the box are stock height, I believe every 5mm changes in links lower or raise the car 3/4 to an inch. Front, lengthen to lower. Rears, shorten to lower.
I lenghtened my front links about 8mm and shortened rear link about 5mm. Gave me about 1.5" front and 1" rear drop.
As far as full alignment, it's up to you as most shops/dealers are capable. Let me know how they turn out.

Jon

Wow. Just got my E55 back. It was lowered 3/4 of an ich and is finally on the 20s. The 285s fit perfectly in the rear. No rubbing what so ever. Car looks so mean and aggressive now. I should of changed the wheels years ago.
I will post pics as soon as I get a chance.

Thanks again to E43sport for all the help

Ive ordered some links also, quick question - do you adjust the links when you have your suspension in the lowest setting. I assume you do as if you did it when it was in comfort and went down to the lowest setting it might rub?

Wow! That is a great looking car. I love that diffuser and hope it will fit my new (to me) 06 E55 Estate. I am new to MB, but I'm very impressed so far.
Did you already have your DC meet? I am in Fairfax, just around the corner from you.

Thanks. I think it should fit. There's a gray E63 Estate that I see all the time by my house in Oakton. It appeared to have similar OEM diffuser... Cool another neighbor
