Quote: Looks like keeping the 25th is feasible for most people. How'bout setting the date to 25th Sat. at 11am at Tysons Galleria II upper deck?? No??

Sounds good. Afterwards will have to head to the gunshow at Dulles Expo.

Karlson...looks like you have a date and time for your meet; now all you have to do is make sure it's cool with Security which it should be I would think...and if folks want to eat lunch together you may need to pick a spot and get a table with corresponding number of people.

hope the weather is nice; if not there's always the lower level of Galleria Macy's lot.

Will do that Sunir, but I have a bad news. Just talked to bmw guys in NOVA and they told me that security would kick us out in 10-15 minutes after we get there. I will stop by Tysons tomorrow to check it out, but it seriously doesn't sound good. Bimmer guys told me to meet near starbucks off Leesburg Pike

No Ahmad! I didn't mean like that, just my friend was setting up a meet in the end of June, last year I had Volvo meet at Tysons without problems, I guess they got nothing better to do.

The 25th of July sounds good, it would be nice to meet some MB owners who are truely passionate about their rides. Please keep us posted on the location, based on what's been said on this thread, it looks like Macy's is out. What other locations could be had, what dealerships have closed in the MD/VA vicinity? Just a thought.

Well I just checked my garage....
I usually have a TON of tires around. I got some 18's that I would give ya. just to got get rid of.
For 18" tires I got 2 P-Zero Rosso which are 225/40/18 1 in perfect condition. other one as a small peice of rubber missing near sidewall. Not anythig that would blow out on ya, but should know its there.
I also have 1 Conti Sport contact 2 @ 265/35/18
your welcome to any of those if they will help ya.

I have a pair of used Toyo R888's that I barely used because they would rub on the outside of my fender. I believe they are 275/35/18 but need to double check. I would probably just buy the next width down if I were to sell these. But keep in mind I paid a fortune for these and dont really need to sell them

A little off subject -

A lot of meeting locations have been offered and discussed but I can't tell if there is any agreement. My sense it's Saturday the 25th at 11:00 AM in a to-be-determined location. Am I correct? I would like to bring my CLKBS and let those of you who want to drive it have the opportunity. But, I need to know when and where.

I dunno where it is but I do know I'd love to drive the BS or at least have a ride in it. There was a student at the last Mercedes track event with a BS and unfortunatly he wasn't my student; I would have loved to have that thing stretch it's legs on a roadcourse like VIR or Summit Point!

Who knows....I may have a new car by then.

I normally charge an appearance fee for things like this, but hey....I like some of you DC area MBWorld dregs. I'll see what my schedule looks like....

seems like a good deal of commitment for a quick meet n' lunch on a Sat afternoon; something like Atco or Englishtowm may take some time to prepare and gather folks...not a bad idea though...

guys, give me a day or two to find a location that will be safe for us and won't have problems with the security guards. It stands that we have a meet on on 25th at 11am at Tyson Corner, Virginia. details coming up shortly.

It wouldn't be as good as a lot directly in Tysons, but there is a Total Wine store in downtown McLean, VA where I have gotten together with Lotus owners before. There's a decent sized lot directly to the right of the store (as you are facing it) that is usually mostly empty. And no security issues. Better yet, you can use the occasion to pick up some good wine or beer!

If we get desperate for space, that might work. Map below:

Ooo, I would love to come, but the 25th is Aquapoolza (I'll be out on my boat). Let me know if you change the date, or have a 2nd meet up.

You guys are great for replying to my need for tires. I did go ahead and order some vredesteins in 275/35/18 for under $400 shipped for both rears. Performanceplustire.com was the best price I found even compared to forum and other forum recommended vendors.
