Logged boost today, Normal?

I did some logging and trying to see if my boost level is right and if the belt is slipping, I'm still not sure? The 2 screen shots are of the same pull but one has tags to help see the boost numbers. The pull is only 4 to 5 sec long.
The car has a asp 178 pully, 3 inch high flow exhaust.

did you use a stock map sensor or an added one from Zeitronix?

Stock boost is 13.1psi and I see a peak of 14.3psi at about 5100rpm. What does a 178mm pulley supposed to yield? It appears there is slippage as your boost is up and down even though the rpms are climbing.

You boost levels are right on for a 178mm pulley. Now there may be some slippage but for sure there is no boost leak.
Stock boost is 11.8 from what I remember.

Its just hard for me to say if the jagged lines are normal? I think the boost sensor is reads very accurate and the sample rate is high so its seeing every little thing, Ive never used this boost sensor on another car to compare too. I bet an anolog gauge would look smoother.

how can you or how would you tell where/if/when belt slip is occurring by looking at the these logs (sorry, im a newb to data logging)?

You will see varying boost levels, The boost is dependent of the belt spininng the supercharger, so when it slips it changes how much boost you see.

Has anyone had a supercharger clutch slip? Or is it just harsh engagement? Mine has the typical harsh engagement but I can live with it if its not costing me performance.

Nice to have the Zeitronix’s capabilities with which to log. Your boost versus rpm curve is not at all unusual.

The supercharger’s electromagnetic pulley coupling may be heading south, but it’s almost always a off or on device until its bearing fails. Belt slip can be a factor owing to the substantial power required to turn it at WOT.
Some have experienced marginal boost and performance improvements from belt wrap kits.

A far more likely occurrence is intervention from the bypass valve IMHO. A cursory glance at a stock vs. upgraded crank pulley dyno run dramatically demonstrates the phenomena.
Almost certain that clutch or belt slip were not a factor with Mr. Frost's. :)

tuning.. controls the bypass valve.

do you have a tune?

also, did you look at your timing.. it should be all over the place. Once the car is tuning.. the timing goes back to normal.

No tune...yet. I think I'm going to wait for some of the hand held stuff to come out
