New look for the E55
Well, the sleeper look is officially gone: rims, tints, and tinted tails will do that.
I'm not 100% on the grille yet, but it's growing on me. All comments welcome, except those on how filthy the car is.
I'm not thrilled with this part not getting tinted, but the remainder of the job was impeccable:

LOOKS GOOD!!! I've been flamed for my CLstyle grill (I think it looks more at home on W211s) but everything flows well...maybe smoke the 3rd brake light? just an idea. Did they not tint the corners of the triangle rear windows because they COULDN'T or because they were lazy?..reason I ask is because if you aren't pleased with it, you paid for it, didn't specify any ''special cut'' then I'd take it back man, after all, you did spend your $$$ at thier place of business, any reputable shop would be glad to have you thrilled with the ENTIRE job (it's not like you are asking them to re-do the whole car) word of mouth is still the best (or worst) form of advertisement.

The tinting of that area requires dismantling of the door panel that couldn't be done in time for the HIN show. It is not visible from the interior, but it's starting to annoy me.
The tint job was well done with quality materials (Hüper Optik) and I would recommend the installer to anyone.
I hear you on the 3rd brakelight too....I might need some 'darkness' there.

I had the same issue and had my bodyshop remove the small window so the tint guy could get to that small area. I could have let it go but it was annoying me...you may have a higher tolerance for it.
PS...I had the CL star grill for 4 years and still like it but now I have gone back to the OEM grill but in either body color or a satin finish. I just wanted a cleaner look (see below in sig).

Looks great, very mean....I'd change the grille back though as I don't like the big star on the E

...just an idea but I've since put my OEM one back on (blacked out though) but you could allways black out just the chrome trim on the slats - if it still doesn't settle with you right, shoot the whole thing black?!? That's the evoloution my car went through...sorry no updated pics yet, but here's one with the trim on the slats black

Nice. I'd rid that grille (I think the Star grilles on cars not designed to be proportionate with them.... i.e the Benzes that don't come with them stock, kind of ruins the look and class of the whole car), and Tint the 3rd brake-light.
Interesting about the "shark-fin" (I believe they call it) area that's not tinted, mine is the same way, I always thought it couldn't be helped, didn't think about taking apart the door panels. It doesn't look too bad to me though . Maybe because my car is Silver-ish (Pewter).
