Should I modify it???

My E55 seems to have tons of power! It is bone stock. I do not race it ( unless needed ).I can eat up my tires, or snuff just about anything on the road already. How much would I notice a package 4 RENNTECH mod? I love driving you know, and am just wondering if I can improve my experience? Its really fast as is! Would I be blown away at the difference of a "modded car" ?
Thanks for your advice.

You don't have to mod it right away but after you're on this board a bit more, the mod bug will grow on you and take over. Renntech and Kleemann are more expensive modding options so research some of the other sponsors here that offer the same power gains (and sometimes more) for a lot less money.

ya the stock power is nice, for a little while (in my case 6 months) I bought my car with a Stage I renntech so it put down 528hp. Im modding some more right now hopefully over 600hp, so I'll let you know if its worth it.

Stock is very powerful already and more than sufficient. At least that's what I said to myself until I started reading the board and learning more about the car.

Your best bang for the buck is to get a tune/pulley. It will give you a HUMONGOUS increase in power. I personally feel that it's silly not to do it. hehe

No longer stock '06 E55, A3 3.2 Quattro, LRD4 HSE, R107 280SL
Congratulations! You have taken the first step in recognising you could be a mod-a-holic. This is a positive step. There really is no known therapy to cure this affliction but I suggest you seek professional advice asap.... or just go ahead and mod it!

Eventually we all succumb... better put a budget aside now.

Good luck!

Haha...I told myself that my car was fast enough stock and there's no need to mod. I would have to say I no longer believe that...LOL!! If I were you, knowing what I know now I would do a tune, 180mm pulley, and cooling (larger HE, separating the lines, and CM30).

You guys are right on! 6 months ago when I got my E55, I was reading this board thinking I would never want to modify this AMG engineered machine. Now that I have fully explored the capabilities of the car.... I want more!!! I NEED MORE!!!
Please refer me to a tech who can perform all the mods I will need. I am in orange county Ca.

Lots of good tuners here but I would contact Harbor Motorsports 714-379-7770 talk to Serge. He'll turn your E55 into a monster.
