agree to disagree. there is no reason why a healthy E55 wont run 12.1-12.3 with some practice. on 19" wheels and with a broken pump mine went 12.7@109 with a 1.98 60'. if the 60' was better (1.85) it would have done 12.5 with a broken pump. that was also my first time at the track with this car so i had no clue how to launch it and what settings to use etc.
If it is hot and the track is at elevation a stock E55 will never run a 12.1, ever.
To say 12.1-12.2 is average when 99% of all stock E55's will not hit this number on a street tire in 19" trim. A 12.5 would be pushing it.
Maybe your E55 at sea level would do it, Im not gonna say you can't, but 12.1 -12.2 in stock trim is way better than "average"

It all depends on conditions.

Getting a good run is not easy. The best place to run is at rentals. You can go as often as you'd like, and back out of runs where your 60' isn't so hot. Plus (and this is a big plus), your car will "open up" as you run more and more often. The sneaky ECU reset is nice, but it can't replace what the ECU is ready to do for you after 5 open runs down the strip.
As an example, at an Atco rental I attended two years ago, I had my best 60' times ever on my first couple of runs, but didn't crack 11's on my first. As I ran more and more, the car got faster and faster (even as the temp and DA rose). My fastest runs came a few hours later with worse 60' times.
Once you get the hang of it on a sticky track, it is pretty easy.
BTW - My fastest runs were with ESP on. Not sure why anyone would want to risk it without ESP. Not worth it, imo.

we went to the track with 3 e55s and we all trapped the same and were in the mid 12s all night.
no one got near 12.1-12.2 what was the DA on your run -400?
