Question Malfunction code question

My car had a "take to workshop" malfunction symbol that is the same as the one you get when you raise the car. The car still rises and lowers OK and the malfunction is not there after I restart the car but it comes back after driving for a short time. Any ideas as to what the problem may be?

Thanks.

Is that the only message? No 'check engine'?

I got this message also. Do you have ELM?

If so, your ground wires may have a shortage or disconnected. My technician didn't actually fix it just wiggle the cable a bit and for one reason or another, the problem disappeared - at least until now (3 months already ).

My SA has an E55 & SL55 w/o any ELM... and he got that occassionally also. He told me he tried to have someone look at it and couldn't find anything. The message disappeared and re-appeared w/o any apparent reason

I hate to admit my ignorance, but what does ELM stand for? I have the basic package with no options.

ELM = Electronic Lowering Module. Just to give you the ability to lower your car further from stock. Most popular brand is Renntech & Kleemann.

Anyway, in short, nothing to worry about. Just wait for couple days and see whether it disappears.
