Transmission reprograming?

Just bought my 06 E55 with 18k miles and noticed a loose, clunky, and inconsistant shifting but no slipping. I can also use the paddles to shift the car in any mode not just the "m" mode but "c" and "s" as well. The dealership says they are going to reprogram the transmission.
Have any of you guys had this issue?

Seconding this. The transmission will shift like crap when it's cold, but it does get better after you drive for a while. You will always feel the torque management on shifts, but after a while you do get used to it. The buttons on the steering wheel are pretty much worthless, may as well leave it in drive in "S" mode.
