Just got home and put the car away. For those of you that did not come out tonight, you should have

I made a total of 5 runs as it goes a little something like this:

1st run 12.2@118.2
2nd run 12.07@118.6 (new personal best et)
3rd run 12.3@119.22 (fastest stock E55 in the country) move over E!
4th run 12.3@118.8
5th run 12.1@118.3

So overall not a bad night. I set new personal best in et & trap speed!

Imagine if I ran with the stock 18's 120?????

I'm still getting better at driving the car. My last 3 times out at the track resulted in new personal best in the 60' , et , and trap speed!

once again 11's will have to wait until another day

Absolutely amazing

You now have put pressure on the east coast guys to step up their game since the west coast has just captured the record of the fastest stock E55 in history and very soon, it looks like we may capture the quickest/fastest E55 record ever

Congrats, Hammer!!! Now get those e/t's down!!!

Very interesting to see what your traps would be if you ran 11's. Being on the throttle for an extra 1/2 second through the traps gives you a speed advantage. My highest traps were not on my fastest runs.

Not sure how the larger diameter tire affects the runs either. Are they as light (I'm being half-funny here) as stock rims? You may have actually lost some speed there, but I am not an engineer.

Good luck! Keep flying the flag. I sold my E and have retired from sedan racing for now.

Congratulation on the runs!!!

I find it amazing how your stock beast runs only 4 mph slower than MikesAMG strong running stage 2. This was done on the same day, same track, and near the same time I can't even imagine what your car will do if you decide to start modding .

I'll definitely hit it up with you guys next time but I need to dial in a few things. The times and traps will only get fast from here....I promise.

Thanks Alan I took a page out of your book and took off the grill after my 1st run I wish you were there to see it. If I decide to mod I will address the exhaust first as I believe that there is atleast 50hp that can be had by switching up the exhaust from headers/shorty headers all the way out back to a better muffler. Only time will tell, but first Drag Radials

Thanks Big E, most likely I will have to switch to a drag radial to run into the 11's my nitto's being a 30 series tire and a 300 treadwear just can't stick enough for me to get into the throttle faster without spinning.

I'm pretty sure next time go out I will run DR's. They will be 17" 275/40/17, what do you guys think I could run? With better grip I should be able to get into the gas harder earlier. If I could cut a high 1.6x to a 1.71 I think I could run 11.8x or better????

With a good set of DR's I think you could possibly get into the mid to 11.8's. I'm glad you finally decided to go with DR's because you'll need them in order to run good 60's like Enzom's time's. Sacramento will never give you the opportunity to run high 1.6's or low 1.7's on street tires alone. Your best chance would be Famoso during a private rental.

You definately have broken the mold, changed minds, achieved something I certainly would have not beleived.

I saw the 117, I saw the 118, could you post yer time slip as it is certainly worthy of a place in mbworld history.

your et will definately come down, but your trap may be capped out. Run on your streets this winter maybe you can hit 120 ,wow

Jack, if you like I could bring out my 18" street tires/stock rims(toyo T1R's) the next time we hit the track. I'm sure you could lower your ET's with a little extra rubber and smaller rims.

Is that track calibrated right? We took 5 healthy e55s with 65 air temps and the fastest stock trap was 114,we tried, dyno mode, ecu reset, suspention settings ect.You just trapped higher than a kleemann stage 4 from our track day.

not to bust ***** but have you had the same traps at different strips?

Is that place a down hill track or what?I thought my car was running strong as hell and only trapped like 114.4 and a k4 with cams trapped like 119

Not sure about the track calibrations but we had a LET tuned stage 1.5 running 116 on average and a LET tuned car at 115. Other stock E55's and E63's trapped where they were supposed to. Sacramento is a fast track but many MB's have been running for years over there with average times. Jack's car has always been a freak and at every event he seems to dominate most stock and stage 1 cars.

Is your car stock? If it is I think we had a stock a E55's and E63 running around 115 on that same day. As for the K4 running 119...IDK, but without knowing track conditions it's hard to say. I would personally thing a K4 should be trapping 121-123. Is you track calibrated or runs uphill?

Scratch, when I first ran my good times at sacramento I was shocked by my results and wanted to run my car in some extremely bad conditions on a different track. The socal boys invited me up to Fontana to run on one of the toughest tracks here in California. I excepted this invite to travel 7 hours to race with over 250 Cars in 100 dergree + temperatures. My best trap came during 3-4 pm when temps were high. I ran a 11.6xx @ 123 and averaging 121-122 most of th day.

This fall when I run at famoso I'll have a better comparison. I might get some runs in at Infineon but if I go 11.5 or under they'll kick me off immediately, which means I wasted 4 hours of driving and $50.

I was running 116-117 stock at Sac and when I went stage 1 I ran 11.55 @123.33. I too went down to Fontana with Alan and ran in 105 degree weather and trapped 12.6-12.7 @ 116. I consistently run 11.50-11.58 @ 121-123 now at Sac. Maybe I'll go do some bracket racing at other tracks and see what she does else where. Not sure what to say Skratch but conditions and driving make a huge difference. There's too many variables and Alan and most other members will agree, it's not easy launching these cars. You have to beat that computer just right, and when I do my car squats hard and snaps forward-I love it! As far as that K4 how does she do on some Mexico runs? Or has she not done any? I have never come across a Kleeman car but I only remember seeing the K4 go against an M and it got beat up on bad when it's suppose to be putting around 600hp to the wheels right? I heard it was blamed on the tranny we got not being able to put the power down, but who knows if that is true after all it was on the oh so honest M5board.com

You actually believe that video??? Gustav is well known for staging races in the name of the M. And no the K4 does not make 600whp

What did you end up running at the track with your new mods?

Hell no I was just fishing for anyone who had experience with Kleeman. That's the only place I heard it having issues and I do get that our tall 4th gear does slow us down on the top end but that wouldn't effect the 1/4 mile. It's why I'm pissed that Alan and I missed a chance to run against an M5 and M6 that were modded, one was a Dinan but not sure if it was a true bored out one. We were going to video tape it to post it up but maybe next time when we go down south to Mexico, which I believe is soon, we can get another chance.

I ran consistently 11.5 at 122-123. All I did was put on shortie headers with a custom tune and prior to that the car would run consistent 11.7 with the two 11.5s. My 60 foots got into the 1.60s now though, probably because I smoked out the tail lights, i hear that goes for 25rwhp

Question for anyone, would deleting the race cats, the resonator, and straight piping it gain HP or just change the exhaust note?
