Hey Rick are you going to make it up in Oct? We could have in our presence the fastest non NOS E55, the fastest CLS, the fastest stage 1 (wait Mike are you still a stage !?) and the fastest stock E55 all on the same track at the same time

Deep staging = lower e.t., lower mph
Shallow stage/wheel spin = higher e.t., higher mph

I know it doesn't seem like much, but I've seen cars pick up a full mph and drop .2 seconds by changing how far into the staging beams they go. You're changing the length of the track by inches, but it really makes a difference at the other end. If you're really good at the tree and shallow stage you actually get a head start.

As far as traction - my old mustang with a 5-speed/vortech s-trim trapped 136-138 all day long and ran low 10s spinning the 26x10.5 ET Streets on a 1.6-1.7 60ft, switched to a c4 with a transbrake and 28x9" tire and went 9.90@132 on a 1.3x 60ft.

Are those Nitto 555s drag radials or street tires.
I have a set of nitto invos in 285 25 20 on my car now but think I need drag radials if I want to beat my previous best of 12.2 at 115.8mph with a 1.8 60ft.

I cut that time on the stock 18inch contis. Do you think the tires i have now would be better or worse? Ineed toorder them soon but dontknow what to go with? Im shooting for a 1.6 60ft and a 11.9 1/4mile

And yes my car is bone stock except for wheels. Im on 20s currently

My Nitto's are street tires. Knowing what I know now I would just cut to the chase and go drag radials unless track prep is like fly paper!

Just thinking about last Friday night and on a couple of runs this one including this one I noticed that I may have had a delayed 2nd to 3rd shift. So what did I experiece? I'm not sure if it was a truly delayed shift or was it the torque limiting? can't help but to assume I could have had a quicker time & speed for that matter?

Haha...not the case at Sacramento. He might have a good chance at Famoso where prep is excellent with private rentals.
