updated (un)clarification about 03/04 e55 from mbusa

updated (un)clarification about 03/04 e55 from mbusa
i posted an email i received from mbusa last friday , today i called mbusa to confirm so i could tell my dealer that i just want the first ones out instead of waiting because the email stated it would be an '04 release. well, when i called today they could not confirm that there will be an 03 or 04 model year. all she said was that it will be released in the 03 calendar year. in fact she told me she had an internal sheet memo that said the w211 e55 would have 493 hp.. but everyone is talking about 469hp. i wonder what kind of factual info mbusa really has if any. she told me to refer to the mbusa.com site (which currently as ZERO info about the e55). any one with more info?

I was actually at the unveiling of the E55 in Chicago & there was no mention of the car being 03 or 04. At this time our allocation or "Vista" info. is indicating the first cars being built will be MY03, but do not quote me on that! The best part of the Autoshow in the Windy City was seeing the W209 DTM CLK, that car was awsome, even though it did not have an engine!
