A buddy of mine with a C43 and I will be coming out tomorrow also. I was wondering if anybody had a helmet I could borrow if they get pissed at me.

Wish I could have made it. Weather was awesome. Hopefully next time!

Work was a b1tch the past 2 weeks so needed to put in some family time.

Thinking of dynoing Saturday at Carb Connection in Kirkland with a buddy who has an IS-F, Jeep SRT8 and z06 Vette if anyone is interested. I can get the details.

First off I just want to say it was really great meeting everyone. I had a blast even though I only managed to get in 3 runs. I'm at work now, but I'll post some updates tonight. Jikjak's CLS55 ran real strong though! Just as impressive as that GTR that put down an 11.3 @ 124, still with paper plates.

I'll post a couple of my slips up tonight. I really need to work on my 60', but so far I am happy with the car, maybe not so much the driver

I'm glad you guys had a blast! I spoke with both Terence and Nick and I heard about Terence's time and traps. I'll let Terence chime in and let him post his own times. Great job guys and hopefully we could have a West coast meet somewhere in between...like Sacramento haha.

I had a blast! The weather and track conditions were perfect. I got three runs in but couldn't manage a 60ft time under 2.4 or 1/4 mile time under 12.9. I think liked my rear tires too much. lol I'll post my slips later. Overall, I'm happy and it brought me down to reality by vindicated bassn_07 signature.

Man, it was a treat to see that GTR with paper tags effortlessly run low 11's. But then again, it was a treat to watch the AMG's go down the track smokin' Mustangs! And beleive it or not, a few of the exhausts on the AMG's were louder than those mucsle cars!! It was awesome from the stands.

I'm glad you had a blast and as far as your numbers go I wouldn't worry too much about it. Having 60' times in the 2.4 will not give you a good indication of how your car is performing. You really need to get off a clean run and see what your beast is truly capable of doing. Usually the rule of thumb is for every tenth you you reduce your 60's by you reduce 2 tenths in your ET's. With that said, I could totally see your car running 11.7's with a clean run. What were your trap speeds? Usually the trap speeds will be a little higher with higher 60's times but not by much. The first time I hit the track I made 5 runs - 13.2, 13.00, 12.5, 12.0, and 11.7. Even with this variance in my ET's my traps still were between 122-124, or something like that. In short, I was making some power but just couldn't put it to the ground early in my runs. BTW...on my 13.2 pass my 60's time was 2.5. JMHO.

hey guys i had a blast at the drags! it was nice meeting mew people and seeing the others that i met at the previous seattle meet. i went down with the guys from my local shop, Advance Motorsport, and also with Shango Ashe, a fellow board member with an S55.

Shango and i both did the custom Powerchip dyno tune and i must say we are both very happy with the results. i love how my car drives now, its so smooth and refined when driving in the city but when i hit the gas, its like a caged beast being unleashed. its nice to still have some luxury and performance.

anyways back to the 1/4 mile times. the S55 was able to hit 12.015@117.53 mph ,with a 60' time of 2.146. im sure that with a better launch he would be in the 11s. pretty impressive for a big W220 S class.

i managed to pull off 11.344@124.80mph on my very first run, with a 60' time of 1.795. i hope that i can get my launches to be better and be in the 1.6 second range, that should improve the ET a little bit. im very excited as these are both personal bests for me and it came at the end of the drag season. i wont be able to hit the strip until next year now.

i also want to thank sneakyneon (nick) for coming out to meet us and show us around town a little bit. a big thank you as well for trying out my car and shangos, maybe next time u will hit the 1.6s mark!! how did u do after we left?

I did manage to get some vids of all the fastest passes from our group, but I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to upload them. Hopefully later this week.

Btw Str8ridin, I didn't realize you filled up with some of that race gas from the 76. It's possible that gas was bad since the 335i was have problems with it too. Perhaps that's why you weren't running like you should.

As far as my times, my best run with a 2.3 60' was a 12.71 @ 117.7. My trap speed went up quite a bit since my stock runs last year, which was consistently around 110. I'm hoping with a decent 60' (ie. sub 2 sec) I can break into the 11s on street tires. I would like to trap a little higher too, at least 120. I kept getting on and off the gas at the start when the tires would spin so I think next time I'm just going to roll away like I would from a neighborhood stop sign and then let it rip.

Very low - 113 and less. At one point, I thought my floor mat was caught under the gas pedal! Even Nick asked me if I was flooring it! lol As for the gas, I put in a 50-50 mix of 101 Trick gas and 92 (average of 97) and immediatly after the gas station, the car felt like I had 4 passengers in it. Funny thing is that I was so pissed at wasting all that money that I went to Costco the next day and put in their 92 and the car feels great again....like it did when you, Nick, Bellevue55 and I were doing those highway pulls at the last meet. Anyway, I had fun...but enough trying to get baseline numbers for my car, I've decided the modding must begin now.

You BC guys should come down more often. It's always a blast!

I can't get over how nice your Euro rims looked on your car! Yeah, sneakyneon filled up from there after the races and felt sluggish as well. Maybe the brand is bad or there is water in the tank.
