E55 Help!!!!!! funky smell from engine!

Hey, I've been driving for about 45min and at one point I stepped on it, switched gears and reallly felt like I have no pwer whatsoever. Also my supercharger chirps, I don't hear the chirp anymore. Any ideas? My temp is still the same. I opened the hood and it seriously smells like someone cooked crap on my engine block, its an awful smell. Any help is greatly appreciated!

All of them
Im thinking its the secondary charge coolant pump is toast, not allowing your supercharger to kick in (since it sees an issue in the cooling system it doesnt want to pump more heat into the engine when the supercharger engauges). as for the smell possibly the relay stuck and started to burn up or possible that the smell is coming from the charge pump. first check the fuse for it, its a HUGE 40amp orange fuse should be on the driver side under the hood fuse box. the pump is located under the passenger side front bumper area.

its possible, i personally have never seen it, the supercharger clutch isnt like a regular clutch thought. it doenst have the the fiber disc on it. its pretty much two metal surfaces that when electronicly applied it turns into a magnet and grabs eachother.

dont think the S/C clutch. because my friends car SC clucth got jammed while he was driving and his crank pulley poped out after the pin was damaged >< he had a bigger pulley ( 210mm ) made locally in UAE by a shop.

but i raced another one has this pulley and othe mods with ECU tuning and was with him at same speed untill 180km, then i was starting to beat him.

so maybe SC has some problem. cause his car sometimes when he hit it from 0, it jumps but then its like the gear is on N and he has to restart the car. he has light alloy wheels and semi slik tyres plus alot of modifications.

maybe there a blockage in the s/c cooling system...or leak from one of the cooling line?

the smell has nothing to do with the s/c pump or loss of power.

The smell is probably trans fluid from a gasket or your pan. Engine oil would be obvious, but trans fluid is a bit harder to spot if you don't have any red fluid spots on your garage or drive way

What are you smelling? Did a small rodent get cooked on your headers?

I actually had a mouse die after my cooling fan came on in my Audi A4 that I used to own. The car stunk sooooo bad...

ok, first off, thank you for your help. i let the car cool off after that and when i came back and drove home the supercharger was cutting in and out. the fuse wasnt blown, didn't smell as bad either. but i don't think its the supercharger clutch because i was able to hear the chirp, that's how i knew the supercharger was engaging. im leaning more towards my ic pump crapping out. i made the appointment this morning to bring it in to the dealer on friday. good thing its a CPO.

the smell was coming from the front left. pretty much were the adjustment can be made for the supercharger belt.
