Tires?

Will a 285/35/18 fit on a stock rear rim without rubbing? and a 255/40/18 front?
Has anyone ran the Nitto 05, or Michelin PS2 or Goodyear F1 GS-D3
Thanx

Ive ran all three tires not in that size but I've ran them. I do not like the goodyears they belong on chargers and challengers and mine bubbled very bad it was scary. The Michelin is nice its the M3 of tires good all around but they are very expensive. I only have about 50 miles on my NT-05's right now but they are pretty sticky I'll report back later on that. As for the sizes my car came with a 295/35/18 Nitto INVO on my stock wheels they fit but would rub if the car was lowered back then but I had the normal 245's up front. thats my .2 cents

That is to wide for a stock 9" rim. You need a min. 9.5 for a 285.

I wouldn't past a 275 on the rears, just because they are only 9" wide. The front will hold a 255/40 but it will be tough to get the overall diameter the same.

If keeping stock rims, I'd do a 1plus all around. Basically, add 10mm in width and drop the ratio by a step.

RE: Tires

I ran CLS wheels and tires on my W211 E550 without issue, they did enhance cornering a bit due to different offset, sticking out a bit further. Size was up by one to 275/35 on the rear only, front stayed a 245/40.

PS2's work very nicely on a street driven car in stock sizes, I have them on my 07.
