CLS55 AMG
It only handles better if you know how to drive it? A good E55 driver will beat an average CLS55 driver around a race course.
Now if you said an M5 handles better then I would agree. Average M5 driver is better than a good E55 driver. That car truly handles better than the E55 as well as the CLS55.

No offense to the CLS guys, and let me preface by saying that I sat in a bunch of them when I was car shopping and loved them at first. But then I took the next step and test drove it, and no matter how I adjusted the mirrors, how I adjusted the seat, or how I strained my neck, I just can't see out of that mother^@#$%&* thing. I'm no pu$$y behind the wheel, but visibility was so bad it actually made me feel unsafe. ![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Maybe you just get used to it after awhile?

The OP wasn't asking about the world. We all know what is offered where. The CLS500 was released in the US in 2005, but no AMG version came to the US until 2006 (as W211s were starting to pile up). The E63 was also released overseas first.

I personally think the E looks a bit better. The CLS IMO will also get dated faster.
I park next to one, and some days I'll walk to my car and think it looks like sh** next to the CLS, and some days it'll be the opposite. All in all for me the CLS is a love it/hate it thing. Some of the areas of it that were/are deal breakers to me is the sloping/sagging old Ford Taurus'esque rear end (one of the ugliest out there IMO), and the tiny, funny looking windows and general green-house. Also the front end looks a little weak IMO, mostly due to the headlights. Plus points are that from certain angles it looks stunning, and the lines and chiseled, yet curvy shape is aggressive, yet still graceful and classy. The idea is great, and I think if they nail the '11 (new model) perfectly, which I know the windows will be a bit bigger for sure, it could be the perfect car to me.
Just IMO. Either way it's a win win, and being that they're 55's, either will haul.
