Make sure you put a crossover in the system close to the headers. I had straight pipes and didnot have a crossover in the system, yes I lost low end torque. Now I put an x pipe in am I have regained the tq I lost

Just put headers on and you will not have to mess with all those squirrel mods. All the power is made in the first 3 feet after the heads and sound will be great too. Then you don`t have to frankenstien the back half of your AMG exh. for sound and virtually no power gains..

I understand you do lose some torque in the lower RPM range, but that it comes back in the middle range where you need it more anyway.
You could replace the secondaries with high performance racing cats (AMS posted some ebay auction that sold them pretty cheap) that would net you close to the same sound/performance and should not reduce the lower end torque.
Maybe someone more knowledgable will chime in.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I am not too bothered about any gains i just dont want to loose power, I am in need of more sound really.
If i replace the 2nd cats what will happen with sound and power between straight pipes and x pipe?
