Please forgive this newbie - but I am optioning my E55 and I see mention of HID a number of times in various threads. What is HID?

simonjb, please, please, please get the HID Xenon option. I am upset that they are not Standard as the previous E55. I had HID on 2 Mercedes and I would never buy a car without it if an option. Get the new technology and don't settle for old technology halogen bulbs. The visability is great. Plus you get the heated Headlamp Washer Nozzles, which is cool. Good Luck.
