C63 MPG vs E55

E55 MPG 14/21 and C63 MPG 12/19
Is that true ? how come C63 has less MPG ... its lighter right ??
And C63 comes with 7Speed instead of 5Speed (E55) Any thoughts ?

Lighter and 7 speed help but all those extra cubes really eat the fuel. Second, the E55 Super charger is on a clutch and while cruising, it is like a low compression 5.5 motor.

City is a BS number too many variables, I get 15+ city but not many lights and speed limit is at 45 most of the commute (47 is the bottom of 5 gear, great efficiency). Now the highway solid 21 is easy @72 W/AC, no draft.

I got a solid 22mpg on my trip home from Chicago, about a 3 hour ride. I'm "averaging" about 18-19 combined.

Originally I was asking about why E55 is more fuel efficient than C63.
Exotic-Metal55 has answer my question...

E55 More power, heavier, 5Speed, better MPG
C63 Less power, ligther, 7Speed,

on a trip from SJ to LA I got 22+ while rolling 90+ the whole time. Of course it went down a bit when I mashed the gas on a long long straight on Hwy 5.

why do people buy cars that do 10 mpg so they can spend all their time at the petrol station filling up? even if your well of, its still a waste of money.
