service brake malfunction.

So before I put my car in park I always press the ebrake pedal so it doesnt do that "thump" When you put it back to drive. Today I did the same thing in my driveway when I got home and right away the service brake malfunction came on. The E-brake seems to be working fine. Anyone else have this problem?

hey I picked up the car and I didnt have a chance to ask the tech exactly what was wrong. The invoice saysinspect systems(215c)-test activations of stoplamp switch test/replace switch assm./retest//ok. I didnt want to take any chances when my dash says BRAKE visit workshop so I took it in asap.
