Interesting, I read they were 70mm. Kleemann is apparently now offering 80mm units.

so we have 148mm and with the new Kleeman 160mm.. I wonder if that makes it worth while? What's your thoughts? There is a formula for figuring it out . I just can't remember it..

The 63 has two 74 mm throttle bodies, and yes, Kleemann is offering twin 80 mm TBs for $4k...... the question is: when will you put them on your car?

I was wondering the same thing. If this offers a true 25-30hp at the crank, then that would probably be enough to make it worthwhile for me. But someone was saying the 2 x 74mm units are already plenty large for the 63??? Well, I really hope these do what they say either way!

so the larger throttle bodies give you 17% more area... For $4k.

Take a driving class and you will shave more time off a lap than.....

Oh, forgot. No one here really tracks their car on anything but a straight line.
Never mind.

Stocks are 74 but keep in mind that the 80mm is also really a 78mm.

Everyone I spoke to said the same thing about a larger TB for the E55. It won't help they said. Then, the 82mm comes out that is actually more like 4mm wider and we see even more gains.

Do it, Rick. The only thing you can do different is make your own set and bump it to the 82mm TBs. $4k is steep but they are new.

I would expect 20hp to the wheels.....

I love the road coarse and auto cross, and the oval was great too. The only problem for me is, My car is just to pretty for such a beating (Vellano show car)as josh would say One rock chip and I completly freak...

No way Dragging at Sac is just for an ego stroke when I want to beat up on ricers or crapstangs. I hit up Thunderhill, Buttonwillow and Laguna in my beast all the time, that's the real fun!

I've taken my car to Buttonwillow twice and California Auto Club (road course) once so far..... the road course tracks are one of my favorites

So why don't I hear about these trips to the road courses? The drag events seem to generate FAR more conversation.

There was a big Buttonwillow event just 3 weeks ago and I believe a big group of MBs went. It was through Speed Ventures (I believe it took place on September 26th). Also from what I understand, Evosport holds at least one event a year at Willow Springs. But I agree, we just need to generate more excitement for others to jump in. I guarantee that once they try it once, they'll be hooked for life
