AMG's
I went from an E55 to an S600 and never looked back. Love the W221. People say its too big, but its actually not that bad. I park it anywhere my E55 would have went.
BTW I also have a GTR. Your kids would never have fit in it. Rear facing carseat doesnt fit in the back unless you're 5'1"

Can you make it to MIR on Oct. 30th? I have it rented out. Nitrous Nates old car should be there too If you get really close you can make a pass on my CCW setup or I can try it if you want

Congrats great choice, the GTR is built to compete with high rank supercars in all tests, the S65 can give all those cars more than a run for their money in the straight line. The S though blows all away for comfort, space, refinement and luxurious prestige. The latest GTR news that came out was one that is tied with the Veyron from 0-186mph in performance figures (owner got a 20k upgrade on the car). Both are 2 very different cars, for your situation of having kids, you made more than the right decision. Enjoy it in good health.

Just picked up the S65 last night. Took me 3 minutes to figure out how to put the car into drive. Its got a cheezy stalk that allows you to go into P, N, R, D, etc. Would much rather have the knob like the E but i guess there is no room in the S for it. The car is very hard to figure out how to use, so much technology but very cool features.
It felt ultra big, made my E55 feel like a barren boy racer car. Once I punched it the back end came out, pretty cool. It felt very fast (high 11s) but not like my E. Will have to get some head 2 head races soon. It feels VERY different compared to my E...like two totally different cars, makes me not want to sell the E.

I kept the 65 for about 16 months and then I was done. It was a beauty of a car though. The E is my favorite Benz and the only one I miss out the 3 AMG's I have had the pleasure of owning.

I owned a slightly modded CL65 (ECU) and a modded E55 back in the day. There was no comparison in fun, handling, and driver involvement. Yes, Benzes can be involving .

I think the W211 E55 will go down as one of the most "iconic" AMG's ever. Had I known my E wouldn't have been a DD after-all, I woulda got one instead. Didn't even cost all that much more a year ago surprisingly.
