Just bought a '07 S65 AMG
Well I have had my E55 for nearly 7 years now and decided to move up to a '07 Silver S65 AMG with 25K miles for $90K (sticker $193K). It arrives this weekend. Will have the E55 until I sell it. Will be posting it on here in case anyone is interested. I hope to get the S65 into the low 11s or high 10s one day...almost made it with the E55.
Anyone know what the S65 221s run bone stocK?

DynoJet showing moderate #'s @ 610 rwhp & only 720 rwto, unlike the crazy 800-845 rwto DynoDynamics #'s seen lately.

thanks everyone. i can't wait for it to arrive and will post pics. It was either the Nissan GTR or the S65...two TOTALLY different cars.... Having a 3 year old kid made me decide on the S65 plus IMO its classier and luxurious although I do love the GTR.

yeah i think its like 5000 lbs, heavy. I hope it handles for a big car. I wonder if the feel will be laggy or linear like the E55. I wish i could keep both cars. I will be sure to get some head to head races but the E55 will kill it since the S65 will be stock.

Congrats.
Great choice. I've driven my neighbor's twice and it doesn't really feel that heavy or big. ABC is great keeping it flat. And the torque is crazy. The car is the ultimate sedan, imho.
But they are longer/wider. And it's a gasaholic. Wouldn't fit easily in my garage.

Wow, the ultimate Sedan, congrats.
You definitely did great on picking a helluva worthy replacement for the E55, you clearly don't mess around!

Congrats on your purchase man! With the amount of torque that thing is putting down it will make it feel like a feather weight, mark my words, lol. I sold my 65 and going to a 55 only because of space but crying myself into it.
Enjoy in good health. The 65 motor is a work of art in power delivery.

They really don't feel that big when you are behind the wheel. I loved my W220 S55........the back seat was fantastic, probably the best in the world. My S55 had more back seat room than my Excursion.

Dare I say....BALLER!!. Seriously the its a sick ride. S65>GTR any day. I'm not knocking the GTR, but when you're hauling the kids around MB or Nissan? Great choice.
