W221 S65 AMG
****11.11@126.6mph E55 For SALE****

My S65 should be here next Tuesday so its time to make room, as such I am selling my E55. :-(

Asking $35K. Silver. It has $35K in upgrades/mods alone and has an EXTENDED AFTER MARKET WARRANTY thru Dec 2012 or 100K miles with Warranty America. I paid $5000 for this warranty and the deductible is $50 per repair and you can take it anywhere (I take it to Mercedes for all work). So far they have paid every claim on the car despite that it is modded. Car has 50.5K miles on it. Its a 2003. I am the only owner and only driver -- have all records. Oil changes done every 1-3K miles Mobil 1 only. All service has been performed on a timely basis. Car runs strong and should be capable of a high 10.9x pass now that it has 40whp more from a recent LET tune.

What I think the car needs (if I kept it): 82mm TB, LET high stall torque converter, perhaps VRP transmission.

Below are the upgrades and what they cost me at the time I purchased them:

Est. HP/TQ is 700/775 as the dyno dynamics dyno was 486 whp and 565 wtq and that was the strongest E55 recorded on it. A stock E55 put down 360 whp for comparison.

MODS:

ASP pulley + 40hp/50tq. $1200
Evosport headers + 20hp/30tq. $2700
Elect. cutout exh., +5hp/10 tq $1500
Evo Cooling kit (heat exchanger, phenolic spacers, upgraded cooling pump, $2,000
LET tune $800
Kleeman LSD $2500 (for traction)
Hi Flow cats, +10hp/15 tq $650
AAM lowering kit, $400
-10C fan, (free)
160F tStat, $200
VPR 80mm TB +25hp/35tq $2500
CAMS, +35hp/45tq $3000
21lb bat., $250
IAT & Boost gauge, $500
EVO rotors, $1500
AMG Lighted sills, $200
Sprint Booster, $200
Xpipe, +5hp/5tq $600
custom air ducts +5hp/5tq . $300
Iforge Daytona rims w/ PS2s - $5000
Carbon fiber front lip - $500
HID lights + HID fog lights - $500
Upgraded DTM style leather steering wheel $1000
Extended Warranty to Dec 2012 and 100K miles - $5000

Total Mods: $29,000
Total Labor - about $4,000
Extended Warranty - $5000
Total investment in mods/labor/warranty - $38,000
Car $85,000
Total $123,000

Yours for 28% of the Total investment....my loss your gain.

Value of the car is likely $25K stock, perhaps $30K with the warranty and piece of mind. I am hoping to get back a very small fraction of my mods. I do NOT need to sell this car quickly. I own the title free and clear. Goal is to sell it within 2-3 months at my asking price. Please no haters telling me my car is worth $15K, ok? Thank you.

PM me or call Isaac at 571-246-7156 or isaacturk@yahoo.com

PICS coming soon

How do you arrive @ 700 BHP? from 486 rwhp? (I understand some DD read lower than DJ's but 30% lower? I.E. 486/.70 = roughly 694 BHP actually closer to 31% DT loss @ 486/.69 = 704 BHP

Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm just curious any actual DJ runs? or?

Just as a comparison, I dynod on the same dyno and made like 407whp or something and then dynod at a low reading dynojet and made ~450whp (So about 10% higher than the DD). If you have 18% loss on a DJ, add in another 10% for the dyno and you get about 30% loss. This was a while ago so I dont remember exact numbers. My car is making alot more power now though I think dyno numbers are garbage so I guess I'm the wrong person to comment. What can't be argued is the 11.1 @ 126.6 and it should be even faster now!

I hear ya & heavily respect the 1320' databut even if we add 10% to original DD #'s 486/.90 = 540 BHP then add another %18 540/.82 = 658 BHP not 700

the root issue of the supposed trans problem ended up being a wrong tune (Kleeman ECU tune for stage 1) given my mods (stage 5), it clogged my high flow cats causing misfires, etc, i got that all worked out. No problems since.

Just my opinion as an old guy.....some 55's setup hotter from the factory than others for some reason.

THIS is one of the snottier ones!!

I give it thumbs up for anyone considering and wants to jump into one of the fastest 55's in the US.

Would love to see some pics.

That Warranty makes that thing a helluva buy for someone. The only "con" to me is that it's an '03, but considering all the work you've done to it, and you're a living, breathing original owner whom the buyer can get records and info from, I think that's not such a big deal, i.e better than getting an '06 from an Indie Dealer with no records.

Good luck with the Sale, if I was in the market for a $30-$35K weekend-toy type of car, this would be right up my alley.

Oh, would love to see pics of the S65 too.
