My stock E55 vs mthis modded C63
As some of you guys know me and mthis have run each other MULTIPLE times. Now mthis installed his headers so we wanted to see the new power gains. ( we have great video footage uploading )
I reset my ECU and for some reason on our way to the race spot we did some pre-runs and my car didnt adapt yet to shift changes and it actually would get stuck for maybe a full 2 seconds before it would shift again. It did change and my car ran properly as the video footage will show.
Mthis C63 mods: MHP tune/MHP longtube headers/cat deleted/res deleted
vs
E55amggg04: Bone stock (healthy) E55
1st race: Highway roll from 25-100 ( not on camera )
We started at 25mph and as soon as my car tried to shift into second gear it got stuck for maybe a full 2 seconds before it shifted and he got me by a good 4-5 car lengths.
2nd race: At our race spot 25-110 mph ( on video )
The same thing happened to me where my gear didn't shift for a good 2 seconds and another 4-5 car lengths.
3rd race: 25-130mph (on video)
This time my car shifted correctly and we start off side by side and once I shift into 3rd gear he begins his pull but it was a good 1 1/2 to 2 car lengths.
4th race: 40-130mph ( on video )
This race once I shift into 3rd he begins to pull on me to about 2 to 2 1/2 car lengths.
Conclusion: The headers definetly gave him power gains and if we would reach higher speeds he would have pulled on me even more. The videos will be posted and they are very clear and you can see everything for yourself. The kids car is incredibily LOUD and very fast.
Soon to come: A member here with E55 Let tune/pulley vs Mthis C63 ( Can't wait to see this )

so the headers/tune added approximately .5 to 1 car length from 25-130mph to the c63 according to your earlier runs. by all previous mhp accounts, the gains were supposed to be sooo much more. reality strikes again!
...And the only reason I beat u by a car is bc I have a headers tune with no headers that makes 400rw. If I were t have the original v3 that's good for 435+ I would of walked u by alot of cars.
And don't for get after we only raced up to 120-130. The more high speed they going the more and more the 6.2 and 7speed is goingto pull away.

this is the tune headers c63. the 1st and 2nd race i got grip the last 3 races i spun to 60mph then would hook.

Excellent races, camera position, and clarity! The C63 definitely woke up with the headers and Tune.
Any plans on modding the 55...At least a pulley, tune & HE would make it a different animal.

mthis c63 is definetly a beast! My e55 has been good to me for a couple of years now. I'm alwayz afraid to mod because I don't want the car to start breaking down on me. I drive aggressive very often and I'm happy so far with me car. I would love to see my car with a tune/pulley/he vs mthis car.

Tune and pulley would be close.. but heat soak will kill the E55 if no cooling mods. At least splitting the IC lines from the Engine coolant and bigger HE.

That would be a awesome race! But to everyones disappointment the e90 335i is being parted out for another turbo beast of some sort.
I agree, the tune and pulley E55 is a good match up with this MHP C63, but without a upgraded IC PUMP or H/E, it will begin to increase IAT like CRAZY on a WOT 2-4th or 1-4th gear run losing much needed top end power as this C63 power comes alive upstairs. I have seen the type of IAT decay the stock system puts into place on these stock cars on the dynos/racing in real life and when IAT gets hot, the power drops like a brick. with increased boost its only get worst on stock componets, life of the FI!!

This is funny
According to one of my friends with a 63 he has never lost to any 55 and said he will be at Famoso and looking for challenger.
Supposedly he will be running mid to high tens at 135 mph, guess after the 21st you will have to take back your claim
