Highest Mileage e55/63 here?

Out Of Control!!
Just turned over 100K. Still almost like it was the day I picked it up from the dealership in 2005. It has had every service by a very good tech at the MB dealership and is completely stock. It is quite a good one, with all available options except for pano roof, and I am sure the next owner is going to get a very good deal.

122,422 miles on my 2007 E63.
I am sure it is probably one of only a few E63s with mileage that high, but I have put most of the miles on there, and have had it almost its entire life, and I just love it. A few times I thought about selling it (even posted a couple of ads), but it is such a beautiful and enjoyable car to drive that I always end up deciding to keep it.

152K on my 2006. Nobody on this forum should be worried about miles if you maintain the car properly. We just turned in our Lexus with 265K and not using any oil. My '01 Volvo is getting close to turning 200K on the original drivetrain.

At what mileage did your car have an Airmatic related component replaced?
I'm in a 2006 with low mileage, mostly concerned about airmatic reliability at this point.

According to my carfax none were replaced before I bought the car. I had the passenger side front replaced after a failure/puncture/etc. around 119k miles. Used arnott.

A lot of Carfax reports won't necessarily mention a suspension replacement unless the place that performed the work reported it to an agency.
I've seen a 2006 E55 being driven in the bad streets of New York City that had one airmatic strut replaced at around 26,000 miles! Too many pot holes and uneven road surfaces in NYC, so makes sense. And I've heard of Airmatic equipped cars with no problems up to 170,000 miles (and going)! Really not a good sign.

If you want to collect any meaningful data about AirMatic failures, you also need to track how many of the cars were lowered and correlate that to the number of failures reported. Slammed E55s blow a lot more air struts than cars running at stock ride heights.....at least that's what I've seen over the past several years on this forum.

Rim size...
18s have a much larger sidewall and absorb the potholes and bumps better than a 19" or 20".
Same concept as tracking slammed cars. A non-compliant, harsh suspension is going to punish AirMatic parts.

Right, forgot that one. Good call. Run flat tires too, due to the stiffer sidewall.

My 2007 E63 AMG had a little over 122,000 miles on it when I sold it back in March and was running like a champ. I do miss that car.

just cracked 163k on mine the other day. I bought mine off the original owner who was very good on the maintenance all dealer maintained with records. I got a slamming deal on a car that is like new. literally shows no wear inside or out
