WTF - **Letter in Mail from Mercedes**
Received a letter in the mail today telling me my NAV is out of date, what? With the 2009 MB the hard drive has the contents of the maps, etc. rather than the DVD in prior years. Get this the crooks want $249 to upgrade. That is highway fuking robbery. Does anyone know a way to download this from somewhere for a reasonable price. can't believe this *****.

Don't worry about it. As Mo says, it's up to date.
It's just a timed form letter to generate income.
Wait for a few years when stuff is actually out of date and a real inconvenience, like closed up gas stations and changed freeway exits, etc..
Is the letter actually from MBUSA? A lot of dealer letters look like the real thing. (I got an official looking MBUSA letter about factory recalls and it was really a MB Beverly Hills letter telling me to bring in the car for free a "check-up." Looked just like it came from MBUSA itself, LOL)
fwiw, I haven't received a real MBUSA letter about any official Nav update.
