So Mercedes just plain lied to their customers buying the W211 E55, so that those spending more money on the CL55k, SL55k, and S55k models, would feel like their cars were more powerful, to the tune of approx 30bhp, just to make them feel better?!
I hate that! How can an identical 5.5l Supercharged V8 in the E Class, make less power than the the identical same engine in the more expensive model derivatives!?
I guess money doesn't guarantee intelligence?!

But there is a difference in exhaust legnth between the Sl an E so maybe that is their justification.
