A brief observation - when someone's personality is defined as "Funny, High Energy, Intelligent, Introverted, Laid-back, Loud, Optimistic, Outgoing, Sarcastic, Shy, Witty" ... professional counsel might be in order, as several of those traits are conflicting. JMHO.

I took it down for a few reasons:
1) it got pretty off-topic with some member screwing another member.
2) My buddy is joining the forum and I don't think he needs to see a bunch of people calling him all types of names
3) MOST IMPORTANTLY,
he got it worked out with the guy, and no longer has the car. He got his money back, and is back in the hunt for an E55.
Hopefully he'll post up a thread when he gets his e55 and we can see the pics! Thanks guys.

The whole situation with mdweiss was somehow brought to light in that original thread, and was off topic for that thread, but was relevant in enlightening the mbworld community about mdweiss' shady actions.

This guy just wants to protect his pal from feeling bad about being not savvy about buying a fake E55, and so he took down the original post about the whole thing. The mdweiss deal came on in the middle of the thread.
imho, I think he shoulda left the thread up. One way to learn a lesson is the hard way. And if people poke at you for making a mistake, then you learn even faster.
Sounds like he got out of the fake E55 deal. But I do hope he learned a lesson on shopping for used cars
