When the rotors are that expensive to replace, consider having them cryo-treated. They'll last twice as long.

I may be wrong, but I thought someone posted you can use c63 discs for a fraction of the price.

Check the C63 section, there is a DIY there about using the one-piece rotors. This is good as it provides at least two courses of action for E63 ownere.

If you are not tracking the car then one piece rotors are a great option. Otherwise fcpeuro would be my pick if you are keeping the car for years as they will replace them when they wear out.

I'm told my brakes are measuring .3, front and rear. I presume that's the pads. I guess I will need new brakes soon. 35K miles. Will I need rotors, or can I just replace the 4 pads?

There are many options out there, I purchased a set of Brembo Front Two-Piece rotors off of eBay for $700 2yrs ago. Bargains await those that seek them out.

I have after market Frozen Rotors on mine for the fronts. At least 50k on them and still running strong. Also, I barely use my brakes so that might help.
