Sorry if this is alittle off subject, but it will factor in to whether or not i get HID's. Does anyone know if there is a way to make the fogs turn on when using the headlights in auto, and to turn off the "turn feature"?

Light Cut-off

How's the light cut-off and coverage width? From the previous posts, I couldn't tell if the cut-off shown on the picture was from the headlights or the fog lights.

Gary - I was thinking of using a 55W HID ballast but I'm concerned about too much light dispersion if the cut-off is not as clean. As well, what do you think about the additional heat the the 55w will create in the housing? What do you think?

Questions

Gary - Sent you a PM last week but haven't heard from you. Copy of PM below. TIA

Hi Gary,

I am interested in purchasing the projection fog light assembly. I just have a few questions:

1. Do you have anymore pictures of the beam pattern created by the projection fog light?

2. I am planning to use D2S. I'm curious to know if you have to do some sort of retrofit to the light mounting area to fit a D2S bulb? If I remember correctly, these come with 9006's?

3. Can I use a 55w ballast system? Any problems in doing that? Any concerns from the additional heat created by the 55w? Does it have a pretty tight beam pattern?

4. How's the color flicker? Color flicker is the effect the HID projector gives off when its color band flashes in & out of the field of view of an onlooker giving it the purplish color on the edges very similar to the color flicker we have on the AMG/MBZ Bi-xenons.

5. What projection system was used?

6. Do you still have these for sale?

djrabbi - Thanks! That is really very helpful! It really shows the clear cut-off lines of the beam. Thanks again!

Getting swept is 1 thing, losing the cool is another. I am embarrassed.
The fog lights should be adjustable, no?

Gary, I think I have an issue with my drivers side light. The beam is SUPER high... and I think I have it adjusted all the way down. Is there any trick to get it down lower?? Maybe shim it with washers somehow?
