Are referring to the keyfob? If so, your only source is gonna be the dealer. Don't buy any of the ones on ebay, the dealer will not program them for you.

my current hookup is not very strong at the dealer. was hoping someone else had a solid guy

there is no guy. the dealer is the only one that can sell them to you.and I think the dealer needs to be in your state as well now.

Yep, that's true. I completely forgot about that. There was a dealer a couple years ago that was doing $90.00 group buy keys. This new rule has squashed that.

So if I have a spare from an old 211 e-class laying around, he can't take it to the dealership and have it reprogrammed to work in his car? Are we 100% on this?
