E63
Yeah, I just settled that dilemma two weeks ago. My list was down to two cars: CTS-V and a leftover E63 for $28K off sticker. The -V has better steering, transmission (the auto version, anyway) and more power. The Recaros are great in the -V, but so are the seats in the E63. Both cars cost about the same... In the end, I opted for the E63. Overall, it's a better car. But if the E63 wasn't reduced so much, I would have gotten the CTS-V. It's a fantastic car, the best GM has right now.

I have to think that with a name like "Heinrich Gerhardt", the Benz is going to get the nod if it's anywhere close

Yeah, I would probably have problems with that decision. They're both AWESOME cars!

You'd think that, but so far I've only had one token German vehicle, a BMW R1150RT...

I can't say very much for Cadillac, worked for a GM store and there were always a ton of them getting fixed, but it appears this engine/tranny is fairly decent. I would be interested to see what you think down the road a bit, as on paper it appears to be an incredible car, but I/my fam has always had horrible luck with anything GM. You do have a great set of cars though, and it does look mean in black.
