I do have a couple of video's but I have to edit them because the filming wasnt too great and there was a lot of filming of the floor.
No cams in yet because there wasnt enough time before this event, but I did have plans on installing these cams right after the event. Now these plans on installing my cams are on hold because Jeremy@Powerchip advised me to hold off on the cams install until I work on my fuel injectors and/or fuel pressure since I am starting to run out of fuel on the top end already and the cams will only make matters worse. So it looks like my stock fuel injectors is the next hurdle I will have to overcome in order to further mod.
As far as head porting is concerned, I dont have any plans on doing this since I dont see any hard data out there that I've seen to prove gains.
looking forward to possibly following in those big footsteps...I'd be interested in the PSI and launch techniques as well as John mentioned above...planning on using that advice at MIR to improve my timesonce again...Bravo, well done Sal!
WOW
Your car looks like an SL65 Black and it ran like one as well.
I would like to thank you for participating and showing us all what is "possible" in a luxury cruiser.
Outstanding work by all involved, this car looks and performs a very difficult combo.
AN AMAZING ACHIEVEMENT BRO

Just three weeks ago, I remember talking to you and you mentioning the possibility of not being able to make it to Famoso
I said no way.... we will get this done and because of your hard work and dedication, it happened What makes this even more of an accomplishment is the fact that traction was not "optimal" due to the rain the morning of.... however, you hooked like crazy
Your 60' time is just
You kept adapting and ajusting your launch, burnout, etc.... until you did it. Again Excellent work Just remember..... this is only the beginning

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Congrats on your achievement. Nice to see so many 55K's in the 10's off nitrous

After that I lowered it to 25 lbs since I was hooking well and didnt want to break anything.
In regards to my launch technique, I really do not know how to explain it. I change my launch technique on every run and so far that works for me. I take into consideration if track is cold/hot, how well I hooked on the previous run, and other things come into play as well.
Thanks again guys and cant wait for your results from this coming event.
What Hoosier tires to the 55Ks run on this forum? A6, R6 or something else? Should I run the same 255/50/16 tires as the Mickey T's?

I've always had the best luck launching off idle then rolling into the throttle (the Chiromikey technique) but am always interested in hearing from people who have had success with other techniques.
Again, sensational runs! You've done a great job setting up your SL55!

btw Hooley used the hoosiers on his C55 and i believe he said he prefers the MTs. as far as i remember he had good results with both.
Way to go buddy! Your car is a true monster and I love the new look. VERY HOT! Sorry I missed you guys this event. I am going to try and make it to the next one and if I can't I will get someone to drive her. Tell Eddie to modify his beauty and get to the track.
