That's a pretty good height for SDS. A lot of people can't get that low using STAR. Did you do this at the dealership? Hope you got an alignment at the same time.
Looks good.

Thanks guys! Crown MB did the lowering and yes it was coupled with an alignment. Actually, I paid for an alignment and they did the lowering free! The CLS sort of feels like a boat compared to the E. I am waiting for the warranty to run out so I can start on it!

car looking tight dropped. Couple of questions
Did you take sport 1/2 off and get the car lowered? Then when you put in Sport 1/2 it drops it a bit more? And of course going over 80mph drops more.
Can't wait til i get mine done next week!! wonder how low can you go without uneven wear? 1.5?

i dont think it drops over 80... i dont remember exactly when it drops, but i do remember the manual stating that it drops in the 60mph range somewhere, 69 i believe... it returns to normal height at 39mph...

Not mine, I tested it all day with the digital spedo, right at 78 mine drops. It was aligned in the not so slammed mode, so the slammed mode will be used sparingly to avoid tire wear. Even in the normal mode, it is low. It looks great. I think they did a great job.

Dealer at Ann Arbor,MI told me 700 bc it takes a lot of suspension work, i told him my dealer in MD charges for an alignment n lowers it with STAR bc the SL has ABC , he replied OH, I had no idea. I got my car out of there n told him I will take my 3,000 estimate and get it fixed elsewhere

Crown MB in Dublin Ohio did it for me. They charged me $125 for an alignment! I greased the mechanic $100 for doing it and I had to buy the SL links or something like that. It was a factory MB part off an S class or an SL, I am not sure which one, those cost me @$75.
