74mm TB shaft grinded to 5mm complement of Exotic_Metal55

So better hold off on maxbore and DIY then?
i thinned my blade but it threw too many codes -- i swapped it out for another stock blade-- its running pretty decent now ---- I only get problems when the car idles tooo long... i think my idle needsto be bumped up -- its around 600 but goes down to 550 sometimes ---- should be at 700.
Idle is actually important for me - when offroading in the middle of no-where I usually avoid turning off the engine - and often idle for 10-20 minutes...

Argh - thanks so much for the feedback. If the entire shaft would be cut in half, and not have any gap - would this be to fragile?

its pretty easy but if u wanna save time and the sweat just have someone with a mill (machine shop) mill out the shaft it will literally take about 5 minutes to do

i don't get why you all go through so much trouble when the part is readily available from MB and is an MB part...(82mm tb from new V8)
the time and effort spent on making it work (audi tb, smaller tb with new blades..etc)...might as well get the real thing or just stick with the 80mm which has the least hassle and is plug and play, when you switch the wiring

no ones even mentioned TB from different manufacturers but this mod is not a hassle if you know what you're doing. plus free HP is always a perk

Hey Shardul did you ever get a chance to get your car on the dyno? you mentioned it in the OP but I don't think I saw any additional info afterwards.
