Not feeling it at all. I personally can never "grow" into liking a design, if it's ugly, it's always ugly, to me at least.

I think the new E-Class looks good. Surprisingly, the car looks better in person than it does in pictures. I've seen several new E-Classes driving around here in SoCal and the car looks sharp.

The new design may not be for everyone. Love it or hate it though, the W212 AMG deserves it's own subforum section.

+1 The new E63 with the performance pack. looks WAY better in person...Actually looks tougher than the 211's...I do agree with most about the tailpipes, but the sound sound that comes out of them is fantastic..!!

jesus... not looking at it from the side... the back looks soooooo un-proportional! Wow, people that say this is a beautiful looking car are not realistic... Beautiful/goregous/amazing are words for cars with minor if any imperfections.

Exactly. Calling it "beautiful" or "sexy" just is off IMO, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but it's not a "pretty" car, not even meant to be, the lines are as hard and the shapes are as angular as it gets. If you aren't a fan of it, it can be pretty hard on the eyes.

I have seen a couple driving through SoCal as well and I must say I like it very much in person. I saw one while driving to work yesterday (dark oustide) and I loved the way the tail lights looked lit up lol.

I saw this car last night at the auto show and got to sit in it and explore it thoroughly. This is an amazing car. We will all want one. I can't wait to see what they do with the new cls.

for each it is own. I personally hate the new w212. New E's are starting to pop in DC area, but god damn it looks like Hyundai and Toyota Camry mix.

To each their own on your engine opinion, but I sat in it last night too and gotta say I'm not sure I'd pay full price for a car that seems cheaper. Love the seats, love the steering wheel, but the dash material seems cheaper, the headliner is regular C-Class material, and the lower grille mesh is plastic now..?? I drove one a week ago at my dealer, that's when it gets you. It actually likes corners....

That's what I'm sayin'. I don't get it, I think a lot of people just are oohed and aahed by the popping smoke of what's new sometimes.

I can point out multiple areas where the interior is noticeably "cheaper" seeming and surprisingly and disconcertingly less refined than in the W211. However, it's got bigger slabs of wood, so automatically most people will probably assume it's "more luxurious".

No offense to the guy who said he liked it BTW, to each their own.

Yeah, they had an AMG reception last night and let everyone sit in it, pop the hood, etc etc..!!!! Definitely worth seeing up close in person...
