New Goodies, some shout outs and Pics

By some shear stroke of luck, a couple of weeks back, my bumper was on the losing end of a challenge issued by a piece of ply wood on 95. I thought to myself, since the car was going to be in the shop getting the bumper replaced anyways, why not add a steering wheel, a front lip, rear diffuser, euro Strips, Hard wire the Escort, make sure the front plate is not re-attached and just for good measure, put that Johnson CM 30 that's been sitting in my office for the last 4 months (next up for the spring are new 19's wheels, and a pulley and tune).

Here's where the shout outs come in:

1) Thank you James at JLmotoring for the front lip. Ordered the day before Thanksgiving - had it less than a week later. Extremely smooth transaction - done entirely over email.
2) Thank you Ivan at DCT motorsports - promised a week turn around time - was delivered a week later - great product - love it. Transaction done over the phone and follow up on email.
3) Thank you James at ACGSD for the Euro Strips and Rear Diffuser - once again - turn around time was less than a week from the time ordered to time recieved.
4) A big THANK YOU to Shardul - he's been by my side from the time I bought the 55 (volunteered to check it out down in Houston for me) and always has time for the questions that come at him rapid fire from me.
5) Finally, and this is for the members in the DC/MD/VA area - a big shout out to the guys at Benz Elite Automotive. I was pointed in their direction by other local members on this forum and I have NEVER had a consistently better automotive experience than I do with these guys (ask for Emile or Eddie). They did ALL the work in the pictures and they're fanatical about getting it perfect. Both of them are master MB mechanics and it shows with everything they do. My car does not go anywhere else but to these guys (to put it perspective, I live in Maryland, less than two miles away from a MB dealership and I drive to VA to have these guys do all the work). The insurance company told me if I took it to one of their approved body shops, no adjuster would be necessary, I told them to send an adjuster. Turn around time on my new front bumper was 4 DAYS installed and my car was in they're shop for a little bit over a half day for EVERYTHING. Love these guys (they even let me play in the shop and they fix all the mistakes I make)

Here are the pics (they're crappy, but it's snowing here).

This pic is to show how much snow is necessary to make it a white knuckled chore to get back into the garage after taking crappy pics WITH ALL SEASON TIRES!!!!

More CF obsession

Nice upgrades! I love the rear diffuser, still not sold on the front lip though. I think I just need to see it in person.

That steering wheel is fantastic...please spill the details

Thanks for the tip about Benz Elite, I have been searching for a shop around this area to have some mods done. I am in Arlington, but I love driving on the autobahn....errr I mean beltway..so a trip for good service isn't an issue.

Thanks for sharing!

Nice bike
Thanks, always been a fan of twins and their torque. Had an RC-51 before that; believe it or not, had to buy this because I needed to settle down. With the 51 I was just doing silly things on the street and it needed to stop

I didn't install it but I was on the shop floor when they did - literally took them 20-30 mins if that. If you know what you're doing should be a breeze.
Nice upgrades! I love the rear diffuser, still not sold on the front lip though. I think I just need to see it in person.
It was the opposite for me-always iffy about the diffusers but loved the lips. I love the diffuser in person and really love the lip. I saw in one of your earlier posts, you own a restaurant in N.VA - shoot me a PM with it's name and location- wifey loves going out to eat and maybe we can arrange it. She can't understand why I spend money on cars, I don't understand her obsession with restaurants - this way, we're both happy

. Cool guys, they do excellent work, know their S&*t. Can't recommend them enough. Really, really can't recommend them enough.
Looking good!
Thanks brother, once again, can't thank you enough for all your help. Prepare yourself because, as I said, the pulley and tune is coming, which means more phone calls.

Gave me some pause also but then I remembered what a good friend once told me when golfing - one of your most expensive clubs should be your putter b/c that's the club that's used the most. I justified spending the loot using the same principle. . .because everytime I drive the car. . .

They're in Alexandria off of Eisenhower. I love it when I have to go down there - hate the fools who insist on doing 55 in the left lane however.
