No sense in bashing others because they have a difference in opinion. You like it, fine. Others do not, fine as well. Why do a few of you feel that everyone should agree with you?
Driving a car will not take away how someone feels about the exterior of the car. I am sure the car drives great. But again, by far, does not matter which forum you are on, the styling is not universally liked at the least, so for those few that want to bash everyone that does not like the styling of this car, better get busy because not many care for it.
Myself, it is just OK. OK interior, and ho hum exterior. It damn well better drive nice as it has much to make up IMO.

Who said that anyone should agree with me? The people on this forum know a lot more about their cars than I do. I would never try to disrespect people here for their opinions.

I do not like it personally. The front end is bad *** but the side and rear view is a big thumbs down. The interior compared to the past 55's is also a big fail imho. I do not like how they moved the NAV high and deep into the console, the new instrument cluster, and center console. They do not reflect well the AMG superiority of past and look too much like the standard Mercedes cars.

Looks really nice.
I agree, the front end is SICK! Even better than I expected. Almost makes up for the rear end, which isn't THAT bad but certainly not up to par for the rest of the car.

Hey Walnut Creek is where I got my E55
But the new E63... I don't know. I'd get a lightly used Continental GT or Flying Spur before I get a new W212 :/

I stopped by the dealership yesterday and I got to see a C63 and the new E63 sitting side by side...............an interesting visual comparison. I was a bit surprised but the C63 looks much more muscular than the E63 due to the C's aggressive wheel arches and hood. The E is much more subdued and unfortunately a bit more difficult to differentiate from the non-AMG versions.

As a general point, the less-showy nature is the appeal of the mid-size sedans compared to the compacts or coupes, at least to me. I find the C63 looks a little "kit car" and is far less of a wolf in sheep's clothing. The biggest thing with the '10 E63 should not be the looks but the fact it finally has an involving gearbox and handles like a true sports sedan. The Flying Spur doesn't manage either and, to my eyes, is far less attractive than this new E.

Thanks for the pictures, Rock.

I still think pics do not do the 2010 E63 justice. You need to see it in person to be sold.
Also, as far as how the car handles, it is head and heels better then the W211. I have had seat time in one and the tranny and handling is something unseen in past mercedes. And the exhaust note is literllay to die for.

I liked the new style until I parked my 211 next to one at the dealership. The new car is TOO large. Seeing the two parked side by side reminded me of the Bangle 5 series.

Porsche Macan S SportDesign / Ex M-B's: 11 & 10 & 06 E350's, 02 S500
Unnatractive car and a horrible color IMO, both inside and out.
Unfortunately since M-B started whoring out the AMG Packages on the regular E350's as Standard, it just doesn't do much to differentiate itself from a $48K E350 anymore. If you're into sleepers it's perfect, if you're a "showy" type, it'll hurt once more 212's start swarming the roads, as E's always do.
I'm sure it's a beastly performer though, however not as good as the TT they'll be throwing under the hood soon.
