E63 AMG
I would have to disagree with the Auction comment. I've picked up quite a few from the auction and haven't had any issues. Simply buying from a one-owner with records does not guarantee you anything. It might give you a warm and fuzzy but whether you buy from a dealer, the auction or a private seller you need to know what you are looking at. You can find a good one or a piece of crap anywhere.

It's funny you say "turn the key"... It was all about opening the doors and pushing a button without digging into my pockets for something

Keyless go was by far one of the convenient features I've ever had in a car!

That, and massaging seats.

+1 These guys have not a clue! 99% of the cars on dealers lots came from the auction weather you know it or not. Finance companies have no other oulet then the auction to get rid of their off lease cars. BMW Financial and BMW are two different companies. We are not talking about buying a repo form auction, I would agree that those cars are sketchy. But one owner lease turn ins,,,,LOL,,,,,that is what is all over the dealers lot. Would it make you feel better if you went to the persons house and bought their lease off of them, because that is all you are doing at the auction.

I have heard that EXTRA low mileage cars can be just as bad as a high mileage ones due to an improper heat cycles Or is any damage caused by improper heat cycles negligible?

Honestly, buying any used car is a risk. If you really do your homework then you can minimize your risk. As far as the price go, go with whatever you can affort or your budget. Trust me, you will always pay more for your car than somebody.

I too have a 06 Designo. Can some set me straight I thought the Designo models came with special paint and interior? I've look around and it does not include silver as color choice. Is this a true Designo?

I would buy that car right now for $32,000.

I paid $46 CDN a year ago for my 04 with 15,000miles. Xcln book value was $37 at the time. As a car salesman, i could've saved $5-6K by picking one off at auction...but mine was a one owner, local car. I put a premium on that. A very big premium.
