What would this car be worth?
A 2004 e55 silver with all options possible including panorama roof and designo interior, but without distronic and electronic trunk closer. The car has 25k miles with one owner and all paper work and is in excellent condition with absolutely no damage or dents whatsoever? Just want a price check before I buy, thanks!

The car is absolutely the cleanest I have seen in the past year of looking around while watching prices drop. I think with the pano roof and designo it is one of the rarer breeds around and with less than 25k miles. I just do not want to pay too much if you guys know what I mean!

Wait a minute, you were in the classifieds saying 30k was too much for an 2006 with pano but you are going to pay $32,XXX for a 2004 with 5k less miles.
Anyway, it is what ever you feel is a good deal. I think for 25k miles, $32 is not bad especially a designo which as you said is rare. But then again you coulda had a 2006. You are not gonna make money on it, but it deff. is a low mileage rare car.

DAM! I bought my 55 a lil over 2 years ago for $52k and now my 2004 E55 with 37k miles sells for around $28k? I mean it is about to be 6 years old but this car for $30k is such a pleasure worth that kind of money. If I sell my 55 for $28k today I would have spent $24k to drive it for 2 YEARS !!

I don't know man, I guess it's what you're willing to spend and what he/she will come down to. I picked up my white 2004 with 50k with all options minus distronic and pano for 25k. I would shop around.

From my experience its really hard finding the "exact" car you are looking for. Really options are what set these cars apart...Color and mileage is where prices are a little bit of an equation.
In my opinion an E55, 2004 with those options and designo is a great buy for $32K especially with those miles. I have seen that the 05-06 models have some revisions but at the end of the day they are older cars that we now enjoy driving hard and having fun with as opposed to pampering a little and keeping it a garage queen.
Buy it! Drive it! Get a speeding ticket-rinse and repeat...

True, but I would also be wary of a car that was driven 5K a year and probably sat around for most of its life. Not that it's a bad deal, but the jump from 25K to 50 is not huge, at least not compared to the jump from a 50K to 100K car. I will put 25+K on my car this year alone. I truly believe that age and sitting around in a garage unused is what causes a lot of the issues we have with these cars.
Not trying to argue at all, just throwing another line of thought out there. If I had the cash I would have looked for a lower-mileage car myself.

I only drive 4000 miles a year so I guess I am the minority. Every where I go is short range from my house and I am a senior in college so driving long distances I do not do often. Thanks for the tips everyone! I think 32k is a lot for an 04 but what sets it apart for me is that the options are all there including a bonus for me which is the charcoal and blue designo interior, one owner family collection car, all paperwork. I think I will be pulling the trigger here soon hopefully if all goes well. I cannot wait to officially be a w211 owner!

If it helps, or makes you feel any better, I just bought a one owner '04 E55, all options except pano, distronic and parktronic with 28,000 miles for $30,000 flat. People may say that's high or whatever but like you're being told it's all about what it's worth to you
![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Good luck with the purchase

I agree with both sides on this. One one hand I want you to get a good deal but on the other hand want the prices to hang in the lower 30s. I still think it's overpriced at 32k. You'll be into it for 35k-36k before you know it. Regardless of maticulous maintenance there will be some things you will have to fix. It's probably due for a service of some sort and those tires aren't cheap. Again, good luck.

To me, any, one owner, paper work and records in order, garaged kept, low mile E55 is the only car I would consider. Any other, is a crap shoot when you don't know the history or previous owner. Remember cars end up at an auction for a reason.

I've sold plenty of cars at auction that were in almost perfect condition- it's a faster way to move them. And Manheim nowadays brings a higher price than craigs and ebay.
