Cabin Smell

Hi,

The interior cabin smells.......... I think a cross between burning rubber and burning oil best describes it..............

I know what fuel smells like and buring oil and burining rubber.....burning clutches and brakes, but this smell is different

Had the car for 4 months and happens randomly, at least ten times now.

Does not happen when I am driving the car.

Only happens when I come back to the vehicle after it has cooled down,
after a few hours or the next day after driving it.

There is no smell outside car or in engine bay, no oil patches on the floor. This is the same smell before having the fuel pump replaced and gearbox rebuilt in case anyone thinks its those, although the gearbox multi plug was not changed as no oil in the footwell near the ECU.

It is your valve cover gaskets. Very common, they seep oil on to the exhaust.
That Mobil 1 smells a little different as it burns.

Will take off the air boxes and have a good look this weekend.

I have had a new problem every time I drive it which has been about once a week, so hopefully I can get on top of them all. JUST A FEW MORE TO GO

many thanks
