E63 with Service A ?

Hi Guys/Gal.
My 08 E63 has 15K miles on it and I had just replaced the oil and filter last month. Today I noticed "service A" is on. Whats in service A? I was wondering if its for the oil/filter replacement or other type of service is needed and if its required by Merc for service for warranty reasons. Although a full service maitenance was performed at around 10K miles last year at the dealer.

I do all maintenance on all my vehicles, but I do not know about these
vehicle scheduled maintenance required.

Also does anyone know where the power seats pump is located, my seats lumbar and backrest is not working on both seats. I wanted to bring it in to Merc at 20k, but if I can just have a quick check and fix now will be great.

Thanks in advance!!

Well, the Service "A" is simply a glorified oil change, maybe when you had your oil change the technician simply forgot to reset your FSS (Flexible Service System) indicator. It's nothing, just go past your MB Dealer and have them reset it for you. There are instructions on how to reset your service on page 367-368 in your owners manual. I don't know where the power seat pump in located, I would guess under the seats. But Mercedes would be able to help there also.

No, officially Service A = 1hr of work with nothing specifically defined. Read your owners manual.
Most often, service A is an oil change.

+1..... Service A is oil and filter change, then a quick "visual" inspection.

Service bulletins are programmed in your car in the order you are supposed to get them done, so unless you go to MB or somewhere that can reset your bulletins they'll probably keep popping up...

And yes Service A is 1hr. of service ($112 at my dealer) mostly oil change, fluid top, and I have no idea if the car wash is included in that...

Watch out for Service B, it is a typical dealer rip-off. $499 please... MB is just like any other vehicle, change the oil and forget the rest. Resetting the service indicator is tricky so follow printed instructions that are available here using the search function.

I know right...The lady I talked to (not my normal service advisor) says, "we change the oil, do the inspection, then run 10 tests on the vehicle" haha, tests of what I would love to know...I mean, if you test my engine and say oh crap we have to replace it under warranty, then $500 well spent...

If anyone in the VA/MD/DC area needs a service done let me know. I know the ins and outs of these cars. I am a MB Master Certified Tech.
