Bluetooth question

I just found out I have a connector plate in my arm rest. What do I need to get bluetooth working in my car? Your help is much appreciated.

If the car was wired and fitted with the phone option and the connector plate would be a good clue that it is there then all you would b\need is the bluetooth dongle that snaps onto the connector. The latest one supports alot more phones than the old one did.

Yes, if the car was set up for a motorola v60 or such from the factory.. My car was prewired for the phone but did not have the phone interface or the connector in the arm rest. I had to add all of it to get the bluetooth installed. I would have been as well served to have purchased a mobridge bluetooth module and would have got the ipod adapter with it all together. After I had purchased the phone I/F, the bluetooth module and the ipod I/F. It would have been less money and easier to install.
You will probably just need the module fot the armrest though. If you have any doubts call this guy. He helped me with my factory refit for the phone and bluetooth.

as long as you have an actual connector in the armrest, then all you need is the bluetooth adaptor-plugs right into the conector in the armrest and your good to go-might need some codings-all cars are different-plug it in first and see if it works- i believe that it will though

Just go to Mercedes benz Dealer, and tell them you need a bluetooth interface module.
The modeule will connect your phone to the car using bluetooth technology, it support numerous types of phones. Check out this link; http://www.wireless4mb.com/ This has all the information that you need to get started.

I'm a noob so I apologize if this is covered somewhere... Does the 2008 E63 have the phone interface so the only thing needed to buy is the BT module? I did not see the option list include anything as the one I am purchasing has every option except voice control, partronic, distronic.

Look inside your center console, towards the back. There should be a black plastic guard, remove that, and there is your adpater interface. If you have that, the only issue is buying your Bluetooth interface module from Mercedes Benz. Look at my previous post and lick on the link, that link contains the information you seek, and will answer any further questions you might have.
