There's a new Champ in town!
Many of you know that I have been on a two year personal goal of becoming the quickest stock powered E55. Well today Fast, Faster and Fastest went to the track today and once again I was able to beat my personal best in a few different area's. Here is a breakdown of my run.
1.72 60' (PB)
4.917 (PB)
7.570 1/8 mile et. (PB)
93.705 1/8 mile speed
11.76 (PB & New Record)
121.40

Thx
Thx Ahmad, it was at Sac and I will have to check with Alan on the DA. The 1st hour was definitely the money hour after that there was too much moisture in the air and we all ran slower (not by much but slower) as the day went on. In the 1st hr I made back to back to back to back runs (4 in a row) and my record run came on the 4th run.

Congrats on a new pb. What else did you do to your car? Any other forms of weight reduction?

Thx bro!
Thx Max, I worked on my launch today. On each of the 1st four runs I got quicker each run by doing better burnouts. I tried the off idle/smash the 1st two runs and that didn't work so I went back to 900rpm load and smaaaashh to the floor slowly but quickly if that makes sense. Throughout the day I pulled of a 1.72, 1.73, 1.74 and 1.77 after switching. I think my car is maxed out as far as speed goes because I average 27.5mph on the back half today pretty much all day. I think the only thing that I can do now is to continue to work on my 60'. No weight reductions yet but I did find out how heavy our battery is and how light the skinny's are!

A Prius because I'm green
I was confused at first reading the title of the thread wondering who opened up a thread for me
Haha congrats Jack! Nice runs today and good thing it didn't rain (although the moisture sucked), I can't believe the car has only been in the ran once in it's life time.

That's not even factoring DA down to the foot. If your going to compare you have to compare everything even drivers weight, how much gas in car, etc....
Forgot to mention front tire pressure also effects your 60's.
Hammer congrats on your times.

dont know, but when I ran 11.79 I had a 1/8 mile speed of 94.02 and a trap of 120.26mph I think the DA had something to do with it! I also think that I have a better top end than Big E's car with that said I think his car has a better bottom end or just the fact that he launches better than I do.
you're now 7.570 vs E's 7.580
I'm totally lost, either way congratz...

Don't you think a 16 or 17 inch drag wheel and front skinny's are considered a form of weight reduction? Ive also seen cars gain 15-20whp just by going with a lite weight drag wheel. Skinny's help about a tenth and at least 1 mph as well. I heard the battery's in our cars are like boat anchors. Did you swap that out as well?

You would also have to factor in the exact tire sizes and air pressure which alters to rear end ratio ever so slightly. .01 may not seem like much, but once you hit the track and reach the proverbial wall that is a huge feat. Every hundredth of a second gets tougher and tougher to shave off.

Going by my handheld weather station we saw -450 @ 12:00. From here it only got worse as the front moved in and I had very high humidity readings from 2:00 pm on. The last time I checked I saw -150 with near 100% humidity. It actually started raining about 45 min after we left the track.
Are you using dyno mode and any race gas? Healthy burnouts can make a noticeable difference. It's a trade off for some heatsoak but the lower 60 foot is worth it IMO. Yes, it makes perfect sense. Do you know if the Density Altitude went below sea level? I can only imagine what that's like to race my E55 in Yea, I think the times at sac might be a bit optimistic. That's just my opinion. Regardless, your car runs very strong and I admire your efforts to keep pushing the limits. 11.7 is just insane! Keep up the good work!

When you say the times are a bit optimistic at Sac, do you mean ET's? If E and Hammer have identical splits except for MPH how could the ET's at Sac be optimistic? As for the traps, I couldn't answer that but it is what it is. I'm pretty sure if you corrected your times from Famoso down to sea level you would see that your car would be in the 120+ on traps. Would that also be a bit optimistic for a stock car when all others trap 115? What were stock E55's running that day at Famoso? Jack out trapped and ran quicker than 2-3 stock E55's at the track on the same day.
EIther way you both have very fast stock cars and I'm hoping you guys line up one day. I would like nothing better than to see to fast a$$ stock E55's go heads up.

Hey Max. Hammer was referencing the skinny's and light battery I use in my car. He never used or asked to run any of my equipment and ran what he brung. Although if he was to ask I would let him borrow it in a heartbeat.
